Brats

jessica: "what's swisswurst?"
me: "it's kind of like a brat with cheese"
jess: "a what?"
me: "a bratwurst.... "
jess: "huh?"
me: "danielle, you know what a brat is, right?"
danielle: "a broad? yeh, of course."
me: "A BRATWURST"
danielle: "wha?"

I know that a bratwurst is a german sausage and that Wisconsin has a lot of German heritage (Lutherans, sausages, beer.. ) and that danielle and jessica both grew up on the East Coast, but I didn't think bratwurst was that regional.
